Today we saluted our Veterans! Veterans Major Greg Yates from Winchester, Chief Warrant Officer Rick Johnson from Ravenna, and Master Sargent Pepper Hardy from Irvine stopped by this morning and they were also joined by Judge Executive Wallace Taylor.

We should thank our veterans each and every day for their service and the freedoms we enjoy!

ECHS JROTC Raider members Megan Jones, Rachel Flynn, Matthew Young, Dalton Arthur, Will Flynn, and Roy Siebenicher stopped by as our guests this morning. They are heading to Nationals in Molena, Georgia this weekend!

They are having a bake sale and car wash to benefit the JROTC this Saturday, November 5th from 9 am to 1 pm at Wendy’s in Irvine.

This morning we had Estill County Engineer Special Olympics team members Dakota Joe Glasson and Seth Fowler on our show along with coordinator and volunteer Kathy Taylor. The First Responders in Estill County are holding a chili cook-off Saturday, October 29 at the Estill County Fairgrounds. $5.00 per person, and all proceeds go to the Special Olympics for their trip to the state finals in December.

Today our guest was senior citizens coordinator, BJ McGee.  This Saturday they are holding a senior citizens benefit at the Estill County Fair Grounds, starting at 11:30 am.  Admission is $5 for adults and kids 12 and under are free. There will be music, door prizes, silent auction, and concessions.  Proceeds go to the senior citizens center.
